Terms of Service
Last updated: June 30, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and SH Labs, a Delaware corporation, covering your use of the AI music detection service and API at shlabs.music (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
The Service
The Service analyzes audio and returns an estimate of whether it was AI-generated, along with related scores. Results are probabilistic predictions, not statements of fact, and accuracy varies. See our documentation for important accuracy caveats. You agree not to treat a result as conclusive proof, and not to use it as the sole basis for any accusation, takedown, or other adverse decision against a person.
Acceptable use
- You must have the legal right to submit any audio you analyze.
- Don't use the Service to break the law or infringe anyone's rights.
- Don't exceed, circumvent, or attempt to circumvent rate limits, authentication, or other technical restrictions.
- Don't resell, redistribute, or sublicense the Service without our written permission.
- One account per customer unless we agree otherwise.
API keys
Your API key authenticates your requests. Keep it secret. You are responsible for all activity under your key, so let us know promptly if it's lost or compromised and we'll issue a replacement.
Plans, billing, and cancellation
Paid plans are billed in advance through Stripe at the price and request limits shown when you subscribe. Plans renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time, which stops future renewals; fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change pricing or plan limits on a going-forward basis with reasonable notice.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data. In short: we don't store your audio and we don't use it to train AI models.
No warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that results will be accurate, complete, or uninterrupted. The Service is a tool to assist your own judgment, not a substitute for it.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SH Labs will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any decision you make based on a detection result. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm to us, other users, or third parties. You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We'll revise the "last updated" date above, and material changes will be communicated to active account holders. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
